Romans 1:16-17

King James Version

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Romans 4:17-21

New International Version

17 As it is written: โ€œI have made you a father of many nations.โ€[a] He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believedโ€”the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.

18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, โ€œSo shall your offspring be.โ€[b] 19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as deadโ€”since he was about a hundred years oldโ€”and that Sarahโ€™s womb was also dead. 20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

John 5:2-9

King James Version

2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

John 8:36

New International Version

36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Romans 6:12-14

New International Version

12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

Matthew 15:22-28

New International Version

22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, โ€œLord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.โ€

23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, โ€œSend her away, for she keeps crying out after us.โ€

24 He answered, โ€œI was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.โ€

25 The woman came and knelt before him. โ€œLord, help me!โ€ she said.

26 He replied, โ€œIt is not right to take the childrenโ€™s bread and toss it to the dogs.โ€

27 โ€œYes it is, Lord,โ€ she said. โ€œEven the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masterโ€™s table.โ€

28 Then Jesus said to her, โ€œWoman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.โ€ And her daughter was healed at that moment.
